NEWS APRIL 2013
The flu season seems to be finally behind us but there are few signs of summer weather so far. The snow hit the island hard but thanks to all our dedicated staff we were able to keep open and provide a full service.
We have made a few additions to the website with a page showing our fees and we will be adding new pages where you can download relevant forms such as registration, travel etc.
We are delighted to welcome our new physiotherapist Jo Gould with her wealth of experience in female urinary as well as general physiotherapy.
Dr Baxendale has taken on the mantle of being not just our practice chairman but also chairman of the group thet oversees the three practices on the island. We wish him all the very best in what will be a very demanding role.
NEWS JUNE 2012
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new partners in the practice. Dr Julia Rebstein and Dr Tom Littlefair are working for us at the moment and will be made partners in January 2013. Both are young and dynamic and we are getting nothing but positive feedback about them. Patients are free to register with them from now. (read their profiles under St Sampson's doctors)
Sadly though, we say goodbye to Dr Liz Norris who is returning home to the UK with her husband in September. Liz has been an excellent partner and teacher and friend and she will be sorely misssed. We wish her and Richard all the best.

L'Aumone surgery will now offer early evening appointments on Thursdays and 8.00am surgeries on Monday and Fridays.
St Sampsons Surgery will now offer early morning appointments from 8.00am and our Town Surgery offers lunchtime surgeries daily.
If you are unable to attend for daytime appointments and would like to book an early or late appointment please call your usual surgery number.

Happy New Year to all our patients from all of us at Islandhealth!
Whilst it has been a mild winter so far we have still seen lots of tummy bugs and flu like illnesses. Obviously, not all of these can be prevented, however, if you are eligible for a flu jab then please contact us and arrange to have one. We do not write to eligible patients so do not wait for a letter. If you are over 65 or have asthma, diabetes etc then it is strongly advised to have an annual flu jab. If in doubt contact the surgery.
Many of you may be thinking of some summer (or winter!) sun. Remember to plan early regarding travel immunisations. Pick up a form and our highly trained travel nurse can work out exactly what you need. This dedicated service is run from our Town Surgery in Frances House.
Perhaps a few pounds were put on over the festive period? If you need help with weight loss then do arrange to see one of our nursing team for useful, proven and safe advice. De-toxing is all very well but there are risks as well as benefits- Ask us and we can help.
